Silencing the Chatter: Moving Beyond the Voices in Your Head

How many thoughts do you think you have in a single day? According to a study done by the Laboratory of Neuro Imaging at USC, the average person has 70,000 thoughts per day.

This study may also explain why our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter.  We have too many thoughts going through our mind and less time to focus. In fact, a recent study performed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information found that the average attention span of a human being is now 8.25 seconds.  To put that into perspective, a goldfish has a 9 second attention span.
